Why STEM?

According to http://www.ed.gov/stem here is a chart of increase in STEM jobs by 2020.

Only 16 percent of American high school seniors are proficient in mathematics and interested in a STEM career.

Even among those who do go on to pursue a college major in the STEM fields, only about half choose to work in a related career.

 

The United States is falling behind internationally, ranking 25th in mathematics and 17th in science among industrialized nations.

STEM – Science Technology Engineering and Maths

Science – An early introduction to science, like the fundamentals of physics chemistry, etc., helps build a strong foundation for its application in the fields of Engineering and technology. 

Math – Play method to learn counting, addition, subtraction will be used to introduce math to younger children. Proven technics in mental math will be taught to children Age 9 to 14 which will prepare them for competitive exams with significantly improved problem solving time

 

Engineering – Students will learn to design and build solutions to various engineering challenges in fun ways. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil engineering will be covered at different levels.Some of the classes include robotics, simple machines, building skyscrapers, etc.

 

Technology – Various programming skills and instrumentation is introduced using android devises and computers. Early introduction to technology by building binary bead necklaces.
